Abayomi “Yomi” Awoniyi, FNIA, MNITP, is a business practitioner and built-environment professional with decades of experience across Nigeria’s energy services and infrastructure sectors.
He serves as Chairman of CandidOil Services Limited, where he provides strategic oversight and corporate direction for the company’s operations in the oil and gas services industry.
Under his leadership, CandidOil has strengthened its position as a credible indigenous service provider delivering value across technical manpower, procurement, inspection services, corrosion control, coating, and allied industrial support services. His leadership philosophy emphasizes strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
Yomi is a qualified expert in the built environment with deep interest in pollution control and the conservation of the natural and built environment. He has served on the boards of several public and private institutions, including the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State and the Onne Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone in Onne, Rivers State.
